Team Registration Process & Captain Plays Free Policy

Captain,

Your team has been registered. Please allow up to 72 hours for your team page to be set up. Email BASL if you are not able to access your team page after 72 hours. Make sure to include your team name and division/season in all emails! 

You can log in to your team page by visiting the Team Pages link from the menu of www.basl.com, click the team name, and then team login on your team page. Your username is your e-mail and your pin is "changeme" if you do not already have a pin. Direct Link to Team Pages: https://www.basl.com/team-pages 

BASL operates as First Come, First Serve for those teams that have a complete PAID roster, and all required information uploaded to player profiles.  Having the minimum number of players approved on your roster is what BASL will look at in order to be part of scheduled games.   This must be 7 days prior to the league/division start date.

11v11 - needs to have 14 players registered prior to Captain requesting Play Free, and 7 registered so not to forfeit a scheduled game.

7v7 - needs to have 10 players registered prior to Captain requesting Play Free,  and 5 registered players so not to forfeit a scheduled game.

6v6 - needs to have 8 players registered prior to Captain requesting Play Free, and 4 registered players so not to forfeit a scheduled game.

5v5 - needs to have 6 players registered prior to Captain requesting Play Free, and 3 registered so not to forfeit a scheduled game.

BASL offers a "captain to play free" if all the required tasks below have been completed within 1 week of your first game. Do NOT pay your registration fee as a Captain, just make sure your team makes the cutoff and then apply 7 days prior to the start of the season.  **Refunds of Fees Already Paid will NOT be allowed**

Visit http://basl.com/captains for more information on how to be approved as a captain. We do not allow anyone else to play in lieu of the captain and only the TRUE captain is eligible to play for free.

Task 1 Proper Player Names  MAKE SURE TO SEARCH FOR EVERY PLAYER FIRST BEFORE REGISTERING A NEW PLAYER! You can also use the player pool to help! THIS IS VERY VERY IMPORTANT! WE DO NOT NEED DUPLICATE PLAYERS IN THE SYSTEM. IF YOU REGISTER A NEW PLAYER YOU WILL HAVE TO RE-ENTER ALL THEIR INFO, BUT IF YOU SEARCH AND ADD THEIR INFO WILL STILL BE IN FROM PREVIOUS SEASON (S)!

Task 2 Prepare and Create your player information: *If you are adding a new player to BASL, Name, City, ZIP, Email, Phone, DOB are now required fields.  Note that the Date Of Birth  MUST be entered when creating the player profile, after that only a BASL administrator can edit an incorrect DOB.  Note, that if a player makes their registration payment, the information they provide during their payment process will automatically update their player profile, including a recent player photo they provide.

Task 3 Recent Face Shot Picture: (No sunglasses, Not Hats, Only 1 person captured in the photo)  We do our best to crop up provided photos players provide by the player during their payment process.

Task 4 Clean up your roster list: *If you are a returning team within the same division, then we have cloned your team data from the previous season so if there are any players on your roster no longer needed please just delete them.

Task 5: Player payments: *note players who have paid their registrations will be be authorized by the league.  Make sure your players know which division your team is playing in along with your team name.  This way when they make their registration payment they get placed onto your team. 

*Players can ONLY be approved once we receive a payment if they are listed on your rosters

 

Captains are eligible to play for free on their team if they have what is considered to be a "proper" number of players (not including yourself) properly registered and paid for 7 days prior to the start of the season:
